Being conceived over the dinner table Digitrains initially grew very slowly, after taking the plunge in January 2005 they are now dealers for some of the best and most user friendly DCC equipment available.
Wanting to take DCC to the modeller and to provide a facility where its advantages could be demonstrated. They have two demonstration areas; the mobile, N gauge, system that we take to shows and fairs and our permanent demonstration area which includes N, HO/OO and O gauge trackwork. They really do provide a test drive not just a yard of track.
Based in commercial premises in Lincoln they supply locos and can fit decoders. Additional to DCC services they supply rolling stock, track, scenery and lineside items.
Their aim is to provide a comprehensive range and service to the railway modeller.
Run by owners Jeremy and Nicole who are both expected not only to attend our exhibition but many others around the country.
The shop is open six days a week and their staff are always happy to help.
A wide choice of DCC decoders is complemented by stocks of UK locomotives to put them in. They have locos from Bachmann, Dapol, Graham Farish, Heljan and Hornby in gauges from N to O. The loco section is well worth a visit with a good choice at competitive prices and a variety of rolling stock too.
Having chosen your DCC System and locos to control you will need some equipment to install them. They have tools, connectors, cables and consumables to meet most needs.
After the advantages that DCC gives you in fine control, freedom of movement and ease of installation the greatest boost to the pleasure of railway modelling has been the addition of sound. The US and European modeller has been well served for some time but it is only during the last few years that genuine sound for the UK market has been more widely available.
Please take check out their DS (Loksound) and ZS (Zimo) sound files in the Digitrain Sound range.
