About Spalding Model Railway Club
Spalding Model Railway Club aims to improve the skills & enjoyment of individual members through railway modelling in a friendly atmosphere.
Members, irrespective of their skills level, knowledge and experience are encouraged to become involved with the numerous layouts and projects currently under construction.
The club is keen to build its junior section, where members between the ages of 10 and 16 are assisted by the senior members to run trains and develop their own modelling skills. Although the juniors are responsible for their activities, there is always experienced help available should they require it.
Our club room is located on the first floor of Pinchbeck Village Hall, Knight Street, Pinchbeck, Spalding, Lincolnshire, PE11 3XA
The club room has a large test track which includes all the common gauges to which we are adding a TT120 track.
In addition, there are various layouts for members to run their stock on, both DC & DCC being available.
The club room facilities include a well-equipped workshop, library, kitchen, seating area and the all-important toilets.
As the club room is on the first floor a stair lift is available for the not so mobile members.
There is a strong social side to the club with the seating area being a great place to sit and chat whilst having a tea or coffee.
The club room is open every Tuesday & Thursday from 10:00am through to 2:30pm and Wednesday and Friday evenings from 7:00pm - 9:30pm.
Visitors are always welcome so please pop in and see what we have to offer.
